Our Environment

Our environment
Our Earth

Our Environment is the place where you are – the world around you.

For some of us that means houses and buildings… but it’s also about the parks and the fields, the lakes and rivers.

Because of global warming, there’s concern that the planet – our environment – is suffering and we’re going to damage it leafbeyond repair!

When God created the earth, he said to Adam and Eve that they should be ‘masters’ over all the earth. God was giving them the earth as a gift, and asking them to look after it.

When we look after the things we’ve been given, we are good ‘Stewards’. When we hear about God giving Adam and Eve the earth, we need to remember that the story is also a symbol of God giving the earth to us… to YOU!

Have you ever been given a gift that you need to look after?

Have you ever been given a gift that you broke?

How did you feel?

How do you think the person who gave it to you felt?
